Literacy Assessment
Next Thursday, November 19th, students in 2A and 2C will be taking some Langauge Arts assessments. 2B and 2D will be testing the week after Thanksgiving. These quick assessments will help target reading instruction in the classroom.

Your child will meet one-on-one with their LA teacher for about 15 minutes on Zoom. They will use the regular Zoom link they use for all LA lessons. Please see the schedule in the Homeroom Hub for your child's time. This will be posted sometime Monday afternoon.

Please have your children access the Zoom about 5 minutes before their assigned time and remain in the Waiting Room until their teacher lets them in (sometimes things run a little late!) Your child will need their microphone unmuted the entire assessment so help them find a quiet space to take their assessment on Zoom.

Spirit Night at JC's Burger Bar
This Friday, November 20th, JC's Burger Bar in Coppell is donating 20% of their full-day sales from Town Center families and friends to our school. Whether you dine in or pick up (including curbside pick-up), as long as you mention that you are there supporting Town Center, your purchase will qualify. So, whether it is lunch, dinner, or a snack in between, we hope you can join us in supporting Town Center and great food!

Important Reminders - Virtual Learners
Please remember that ALL submissions need to be made each day by 11:59 pm. This includes all courses: math, language arts, science, social studies, and specials.

Important Reminders - Face to Face

iPad Charging
Please ensure that your child is plugging in their iPad when they get home and charging it overnight. We have had an issue with a large group of learners in each class coming to school with their iPad dead. This makes charging at the same time hard and distancing even harder. We would love your help with iPads arriving at school charged.

HEADPHONES!
We have lots of kiddos who have lost/broken headphones. Please make sure that your child has a working pair of headphones for school.

Food and Toy Drive
Kindergarten and First Grade will be working with the Coppell Lions Club to coordinate a food and toy drive at Town Center. This will help to provide food and toys for more than 100 Coppell families during the holidays. We'd love for our learners in grades K-5 to bring canned food items and/or a new, unwrapped toy to donate starting December 1st through December 15th. If you are a face-to-face learner, you may drop your items by the TCE Giving Tree in the front of the school, and canned foods can be put in the boxes at the end of each hallway. Virtual learners may call the front office at 214-496-7800 to make arrangements to drop off your donation in the front loop during school hours. THANK YOU for your support.

Box Tops for Education
We'd love for all of our TCE staff and families to join us in raising money for our school through the Box Tops for Education App. It's a great way to earn money from an activity you already do each week. Please watch the video below to see how you can get started. It's easy as downloading the free app and scanning your receipts! You can also invite your extended family and friends to join you in raising money for TCE.

Town Center Yearbooks
Our 2020-2021 Town Center Yearbook is now available for purchase. The cost is $25, and they will arrive in the spring. Click here to place your order. **Please note that the yearbook cost is NOT included in the TCE Trail Pass.
