Box Tops for EducationWe'd love for all of our TCE staff and families to join us in raising money for our school through the Box Tops for Education App. It's a great way to earn money from an activity you already do each week. Please watch the video below to see how you can get started. It's easy as downloading the free app and scanning your receipts! You can also invite your extended family and friends to join you in raising money for TCE.
Important Reminders - Virtual LearnersPlease remember that ALL submissions need to be made each day by 11:59 pm. This includes all courses: math, language arts, science, social studies, and specials.
Important Reminders - Face to Face
iPad ChargingPlease ensure that your child is plugging in their iPad when they get home and charging it overnight. We have had an issue with a large group of learners in each class coming to school with their iPad dead. This makes charging at the same time hard and distancing even harder. We would love your help with iPads arriving at school charged.
HEADPHONES!We have lots of kiddos who have lost/broken headphones. Please make sure that your child has a working pair of headphones for school.
What are we learning?
Math: This week learners will use standard, word, and expanded forms to represent numbers up to 1,000. Wanting to learn more about what it means to represent numbers to support your child? Click here
Language Arts: In Reading Workshop we will begin our study on fairy tales, fables, tall tales, and folktales. Please remember to keep up with your weekly iStation requirements and your Reading Logs!
In Writing Workshop we will publish one of our information writing pieces! We have worked so hard during our unit on non-fiction writing.
Science: This week learners will investigate the way heat energy affects objects. Learners will make predictions about the effect of heat on an object using what they know about its properties.
Social Studies: In Social Studies we will look at how transportation, communication, school, clothing, food, farming, and even grames have changed over time.
