Zoom
Many learners who originally went through the process of linking their Zoom account to their CISD credentials have been booted out. Please go through the outlined steps below to log out and re-login to zoom on your learner's iPad. The process of being logged in through guest is going away and your learner will need to follow these steps to log in to Zoom lessons and class meetings.

Schoology Calendar
Please refer to your child's Schoology calendar for dates and times of LIVE lessons each week! This will be where we are posting Live Lesson times in place of continually updating the week at a glance. We encourage learners to use the Schoology message tool to reach out directly to their teacher if they have a question about their learning.

Language Arts: In Reading Workshop we will begin our unit on nonfiction. Readers will grow their know knowledge by paying attention to details and asking questions about the text. Please remember to keep up with your Reading Logs!

In Writing Workshop we will launch the big work of nonfiction writing. We will learn from experts: noticing, naming, and try out craft moves!

Map Testing
CISD is conducting the Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA) Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) test. This assessment will help measure growth and skill mastery for learners kindergarten-9th grade. Both in-person and distance TCE 2nd graders will be taking this assessment next week. The assessment will take place on Monday, September 28th, and Tuesday, September 29th first thing in the morning.

Families learning virtually you should have received an email by the end of Friday, September 25th with information regarding the testing days. Please read through this email thoroughly and reach out to your homeroom teacher if you have any questions prior to testing Monday morning.

Face to face families we ask that you make sure your child is on time and has their iPad FULLY charged on Monday and Tuesday. This will help to make sure they are set up for success during their MAP assessment.

Week at a Glance
As our second graders have become experts within Schoology, we are going to move our week at a glance to be a visual schedule tool. It can still be accessed (linked here) but will no longer be updated weekly with live times for all core content areas. We will continue to use the Schoology calendar for all LIVE times.

Once books are pulled and checked out, I will send an email to the VL and parent(s) notifying them that their holds are ready to pick up. It is important to note that Destiny may say that the books are ready, however, that does not mean Mrs. Mancuso has pulled the books from the shelf and checked them out. Please wait until you have received a confirmation email from Mrs. Mancuso with the next curbside date.

TCE Curbside Pickup will be on Wednesday's from 11:00-12:30pm in the Front Loop. Library books will be quarantined for 7 days before they are checked in and removed from the account.

If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Mancuso at kmancuso@coppellisd.com.
