Lunch is provided while at KidZania (cheese pizza, apple slices, and milk or water). Please note that we will not be able to take refillable sports water bottles with us.
We will leave at approximately 9:00 and return around 1:45. Please have your child wear their second-grade TCE shirt and tennis shoes. If they aren't able to wear their grade-level shirt that day, another TCE shirt would be appreciated! Your child can leave their backpack at home, as we will not be needing it for the field trip.

Passed during the 87th (2nd) Legislative Session, Senate Bill 9, requires schools beginning in the 2022-2023 school year to educate students on the prevention of child abuse, family violence, dating violence, and human trafficking. House Bill 1525 does the same for human sexuality.
Before a student may be provided with instruction related to child abuse, family violence, dating violence, and human trafficking, Senate Bill 9 requires that Coppell ISD obtain written consent from the student's parent/guardian. House bill 1525 requires the same concerning human sexuality.
At the elementary level, Coppell's Student Health Advisory Council (SHAC) approved the Quaver Health curriculum. It is a digitally based teacher-led resource and meets 100% of the Texas Essential Knowledge Skills (TEKS) for Health. QuaverEd is provided the following links and lessons in accordance with Texas Education Code 28.004 and pertaining to Senate Bill 9, House Bill 1525. Providing these links and lessons is not intended to grant permission for the following content to be shared in part or in full in the public domain: PARENT PREVIEW LINKS - English.
Without written consent from a parent/guardian, students will not receive instruction related to child abuse, family violence, dating violence, human trafficking, and human sexuality.
Child Abuse Prevention lessons will be taught in K-5 classrooms by the counselor to learners who OPT IN during the last two weeks of April. Human Sexuality lessons will be taught to 4th and 5th grade classrooms by the nurse to learners who OPT IN during the last week weeks of April. If you have any questions, please reach out to Nurse Crenshaw at kcrenshaw@coppellisd.com or Kelly Matlock, the counselor, at kmatlock@coppellisd.com.
