Red Ribbon Week - October 25th-29th

We celebrate National Red Ribbon Week in honor of Enrique Camarena, a fallen DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) Agent, who risked his own life in the battle against illegal drugs. The Red Ribbon is a symbol used to help us remember to make healthy choices for our bodies and to "say NO to drugs!" We will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week during the week of October 25th-29th with the national slogan Drug Free Looks Like Me

Report cards for Kinder-3rd grade learners are emailed to parents directly and should be received by the end of the day today. If you do not receive your report card by Monday, please contact your child's homeroom teacher. You can also access your child's report card by logging into the Home Access Center HAC. Once logged in, you will click on the picture/word that says "Grades". Once you click on "Grades" you will see a tab labeled "Report Card".

Parent/Teacher Conferences

On Friday, September 24th we sent out a Zoom conference sign-up for parent-teacher conferences in ParentSquare. We are SO excited to share your child's accomplishments and strengths and talk about goals for the year. Since we have a large number of second graders, we have included additional dates beyond the district's designated dates (Oct. 7th & 8th) to accommodate all second-grade families. Due to the high number of conferences we ask that you sign-up for only one conference per child. If more than one parent is attending the conference please join on the zoom link at the same conference time.

Color House Celebration

Since we've marked the end of September, today we celebrated our first monthly color house celebration! We've been working hard all month to earn house points for good character and citizenship. Congratulations to our YELLOW house! Our second grade friends in the yellow house had fun celebrating earning 334 points in the month of September (& August). Our purple, green, and blue houses had fun participating in some team building. We also brainstormed ways to earn even more points in the month of October. We can't wait to see who will earn the most points this month! Enjoy some photos at the end of this post of all of our color houses today!
