TCE Top Texans

In addition to our weekly Terrific Texans, our campus recognizes a Top Texan for each class every nine weeks. These learners are chosen based on a citizenship quality teachers have seen in them throughout the entire nine weeks. Congratulations to our 2nd grade Top Texans from the second nine weeks!

iPad Reminders

We use our iPads at some point each day as an important learning tool in the classroom. Please help us in making sure that your child's iPad is charged each night to 100%! We understand that life happens; if your child does not charge their iPad, please send their charge with them to school. We do not have additional chargers in the classroom.

Many of our iPads need a software update! Please make sure this is done before returning to school on Monday, December 4th. Additionally, please help your child make sure they do not have any extra apps, photos, etc on their iPad that may be taking up space and running their batteries low. Thank you!!

Yearbooks for Sale
Our yearbook sale is now open! Each year we have a Town Center Yearbook that highlights photos from every class, school events, and staff. It is a great item to look back on memories from the year, and we even have a yearbook signing party in May. If you are interested in purchasing a yearbook, please see the graphic below for the different purchasing options. As a reminder, the TCE Yearbook cost WAS NOT included in the TCE Trail Pass. If you would like a yearbook for your child(ren), you need to purchase it using the website link below.

Our yearbook committee would also love your help submitting photos for the yearbook. As you attend campus events, if you have any photos you would like to share, see below for information on uploading them to our committee.

What are we learning?

Math Workshop - In Math, learners will organize a collection of data with up to 4 categories using pictographs and bar graphs. Learners will also solve one-step word problems involving addition or subtraction using data represented in graphs, draw conclusions, and make predictions from information in a graph. Learners will explain the predictions I make from data on a graph to a classmate.

Reading Workshop - In Reading, learners will become special word collectors using the mentor text The Word Collector. Learners will read with fluency on independent texts and go to the library to check out new books!
Don’t forget your library books! Each Thursday we go to the library to read. Make sure to bring your books back so you can return and check out new books each week!
Writing Workshop- In writing, learners will study the way authors write poems.
Science - In Science, learners will measure, record, and graph weather information regarding temperature using the appropriate tools.
