Weather Reminders
With fall/winter temperatures approaching, we want to share some reminders regarding recess. We enjoy recess daily, weather permitting the temperature is above freezing or isn't raining. Please send appropriate jackets, sweatshirts, coats labeled with your child or family's name. Layers are always a great idea for fluctuating temperatures, as it's cool in the mornings and warms up in the afternoons. The temperature also fluctuates in the classroom throughout the day and a light sweatshirt or jacket is always helpful.
Technology Help!
We would love your help in making sure your child's iPad is set up for success when it comes to learning in the classroom. As our virtual learners have returned to the classroom we wanted to share this helpful list for all of our second graders. You can find the list of CISD Learner iPad Suggestions (linked here) to set your child's iPad up for success. As a reminder, we do not have additional charges at school. Please charge your child's iPad to 100% each evening!

What we are learning?
Math - In Math, learners will compose and decompose numbers up to 1,000 in more than one way.
Compose/Decompose - Link for Parent Resources!
Reading- In Reading, learners will notice how fairy tale characters think and feel. In Phonics, learners will focus on building words by using larger parts and syllables.
Writing/Grammar- In writing, learners will finish their nonfiction book.
Social Studies- In Social Studies, learners will identify and explain the significance of community, state, and national landmarks.
Science - In Science, learners will investigate the way heat energy affects objects.
