Want to hear more than just "fine" when you ask how your child's day went? Try asking some of these fun and specific questions inspired by what we did this week:
  • What is a 'Bucket Filler'? Did you fill anyone’s bucket this week? Did someone fill yours?
  • What is a time capsule? What did you put inside yours to open on the last day of 2nd grade?
  • You made a Class Family Bracelet – what colors did you use and what do they mean to you?
  • What was your favorite “slow start” activity? Would you like to do it again?
  • What’s something you’re really looking forward to in 2nd grade?
  • Tell me about the “Find a Friend Who…” game – what was one fun thing you discovered about a new friend?
  • What is the H.A.L.L. expectation? Can you show me how you walk in the hallway at school?
  • Tell me about the classroom promises your class made. What’s one promise you helped come up with?
We encourage you to pick one or two questions each evening to keep the conversation fresh and ongoing. It’s a great way to reinforce learning and build excitement for the school year ahead!
