Reminders from your Second Grade Teachers
*iPads - Please remember to send your child's iPad each day to school fully charged.
*Headphones - Please check with your child that they have working headphones/earbuds at school. Learners have many times where they are watching a video or can listen to directions and/or books and apps that need audio. Thank you so much for your help with this!
*Weather - As our weather outside fluctuates please remember that we will still be going outside for recess. District policy states that if the "feels like" temperature is above 32 degrees we will be going outside for some fresh air. Please make sure your child has dressed appropriately for recess weather.
*Snack - We have a short snack time each day. It is important that they have a healthy and nutritious snack each day to fuel their bodies. We also ask that the snack you send be completely free of peanuts/tree nuts. This will help provide a safe environment for all learners.

What we are learning?
Math - In Math, learners will finish our unit on multiplication and division. Learners will continue to model, create, and describe contextual multiplication & division situations in which equivalent sets of concrete objects are joined. Learners will listen to a multiplication & division situation read aloud and create a corresponding model. In second grade we will not focus on memorizing multiplication/division facts with automaticity, this will be covered in third grade.
