Returning School Enrollment - Action Item for All Parents
CISD is excited to welcome back your children for the 2021-2022 school year. All returning families are required to enroll each year. You should have received an email from PowerSchool with "snapcode" on April 27th. If you did not, please email input@coppellisd.com and request your code. We encourage families to fill this out as soon as possible to confirm enrollment for the next school year. This will secure your child's spot at Town Center for the coming year!

Yearbooks
Face-to-face learners that ordered a 2020-2021 yearbook will bring their yearbooks home on Friday, May 14th. Remote learners may pick up their yearbooks from the TCE front office by driving through the front loop during school hours and calling the front office at 214-496-7800 and having the yearbook brought out. A limited number of extra yearbooks are available for purchase for $25. Please call Laura Fairchild at 214-496-7804 for more information.

School Supply Orders for 2021-2022
It's time to order supplies for next year! Visit our PTO online store at www.tcepto.com. School supply packs and t-shirts that are purchased online will be delivered to your child's classroom in time for the first day of school. We recommend you purchased a "TCE Trailpass" that covers the cost of your child's school supplies, the classroom fun donation that supports class parties, and events, a grade-level t-shirt for your child, PTO membership, and your Write-a-Check school donation. **Items can be purchased separately.

What are we learning?

Math: In math, learners will calculate how money saved can accumulate into a larger amount over time. Learners will also explain that saving is an alternative to spending. Learners will distinguish between a deposit and a withdrawal and identify examples of borrowing and lending. Learners will also review how to differentiate between producers and consumers.

Language Arts: In Reading Workshop this week, learners will finish our novel study of The BFG. They will have daily activities to complete that tie in with what we have been reading.

In Writing Workshop this week, learners will complete their nonfiction writing about whales, sharks, penguins, and kangaroos.

Science: In science, learners will continue to describe the unique stages that insects go through in their life cycle.

Social Studies: In Social Studies learners will finish a research project on an influential person of their choice.
